hey guys I'm new to the forum but anyway I bought a 2006 T250 last week. and i am having the low hydro charge come on and it shuts down i changed the hydraulic filter(spin on) and the case drain that is down on the main part but i can not find the other one to save my life. does anyone have a picture of where the second one is? the end was blown out on the case drain that i changed. is that a bad sign or possibly just an old filter? any info would help. i am new to the machine Thanks, Brett

It could be a bad pressure sender too. If you install a manual gauge to check the pressure, it should be around 120PSI. If you are getting the correct pressure, your sender may need replacing.

I also noticed it drops a 3-4 bars when i put the lap bar down and hit the loader activation button... any thoughts on what thatd be? im new to the bobcat machines

i got a manual gauge on it tonight and it reads right on what the vitals on the machine.. about 150 at idle (which causes shut down) and 300 at 2100 rpms...so im stumped again

Ever find the other case drain filter
But im not sure the sender is the problem because it reads the same as the manual gauge... I think they may have by passed the filter because i cant find it... i dont know much about the machine as i just got it a week or two ago..

How long does it run before it shuts down?

Don't know that machine have you checked the engine oil and hydro fluid levels and air filter?
at idle it runs for about a minute and then the low hydraulic charge shut down comes on and it takes a minute before it shuts down. hydro oil is in the sight glass.. everything else is ok

I do not know much about the T250, but a 300 psi charge pressure seems a bit high to me. Like Tazza said, 120-150 psi is the range that I would have expected, and it should not fluctuate a whole lot with engine RPM (20-30 psi I could understand, but double....)
There are a few Bobcat dealer tech's that frequent the site. Hopefully one of them will see this post and add some insight to this.
Also, do you have a service manual? This would likely help to establish what the norm's are for your machine, and maybe get to the bottom of your issue.

Tracked machines do run a higher charge pressure, the charge relief vale is generally screwed into the pump its self. It will look like a plug but has a spring and poppet behind it.

You'll have one visible case drain on the left side of the machine underneath the cab if your looking from the front. Your other one should be up under the hydraulic tank on the right side of the machine. Check your hydraulic pressure sensor I had one go bad and did the same thing until I replaced it. Should be located up by the cooling fan underneath the cab. Youll see another small hydralic filter and on either side of it should be a sensor plumbed into the line going to that filter with 2 or 3 wires going to it.
