I have a t200 bobcat. I can't get my horn or backup alarm to work. Both make sound when jumped with 12v. I can't get power to the plugs. I'm thinking I have a short or broken wire. I've replaced both backup microswitches. I've looked In my manual and can't seem to find anything on either. Could it be a relay? I plan on switching them around next, prolly will get a new relay to check with. The horn function is my left trigger, I think it works. I checked it with the voltmeter. The machine functions fine without any codes. If anyone could offer some help i would appreciate It. Thanks. Ben.

Check your alt & kits fuse, both are protected by that fuse. Also if the fuse is blown, your alternator probably is not charging. Also may be a harness unplugged under the cab, steer levers been out for any service lately?

Thanks for the info bobcatdan. So I checked the fuses today, I didn't have a fuse in the alt/kits spot. When I put a fuse in, turn the key to acc the fuse would blow. Rather than chase wires I pulled the alternator and took it to napa to be checked. The alternator is shot. The new alt will be here tomorrow morning. Without an alternator in the machine and a 25 amp breaker in the alt/kits fuse spot, I turn the key to acc the horn works. Didn't start it or move the steer levers to see if the backup alarm works. I found wore wires in the harness to the rear lights and alarm. That harness is disconected and on order from my bobcat dealer. Hopefully I don't blow the fuse again tomorrow when I put the new alternator in. Fingers crossed. Thanks Ben.

Well got the alternator in today. Now the horn works. I'll check the backup alarm next week when I get the wire harness.
