Hi new here, great site by the way. I used a TL130 this weekend to clean up some storm debris. The machine seemed to work ok but it seemed a little down on power at times especially when backing up. I also noticed that at times the 4 in 1 bucket would open on it's own as I backed up the machine. It didn't do it all the time but it always seemed to do it at the wrong time as the ground was really soft and when this happened it would slow the machine enough to where it would get stuck. Then I would have to mess with it to get it out. When it would get mired down and tried to help push it out with the bucket as I backed up the machine would stall. It would start back up but cut right off. After doing this several times it would finally start and keep running but if I was not really careful it would cut off again over and over until I could finally walk it out. Once I was back on good ground it would move along fine until the next time. The bucket opening by itself was really a pain to deal with and as I said it didn't do it all the time, just in spells. Any ideas?? Oh, When it first did this, the down on power part I removed the water separator and cleaned it. There was a small amount of water but not enough to cause problems and I also drained some fuel from the tank and it looked good also. I know it's just a 4 cylinder but at times it just seemed to be struggling and the RPM's just did not seem to be there. I'm wondering if the hydraulics are not working like they should and causing the machine to bog a little.

Not sure about the aux hydraulics, but was there any exhaust smoke? Its possible the fuel filter or air filters need changing? That would cause a lack of power and RPMs will stay lower as its not getting enough air and fuel to do the job.
Just a thought.

Nawh, no smoke, cleaned the water separator and even drained some fuel from the tank to check for water and both was clean. He cleans his air filter pre filter every week or more often when it is real dusty and I blew out the airfilter just to check and it was ok also. I think he's going to take it in to the shop where he bought it and get them to check it out. I was just trying to help before he did because the last time he took it in it cost him over $2000 for a regular check up and things have been really slow for another bill like that.

Sounds like you got a stuck valve on the aux side.

Stuck valve?? That may be possible but why does it only do it when I back up? I can move forward all day and the bucket stays shut but as soon as I pull the lever to back up the bucket starts to open and you lose your load. This is very hard to deal with especially when you are working in real soft material. I was wondering if there could be some kind of short in the joy stick that is causing this to happen. It doesn't do this all the time and normally it starts after you have been working for awhile. Yesterday it started this mess after about 20 minutes and did it on and off the whole time I was working. Once it starts it usually does it about 85% of the time when you back up only. The owner carried it in to the shop and they charged him $742.00 for a 500 hour service but said they could find no problem with the hydraulics.

I guess its possible too. I'd start by checking all the points that the wires exit the control lever, where they are secured to the frame all the way to the computer.
One other test..... Can you close the bucket, lift the cab, remove the sockets to the aux hydraulic coils and see if the bucket moves? this will rule out if its an electricial or hydraulic issue?

It would be nice if I could find a wiring diagram or some kind of a service manual. I thought boat dealers were hard to get information out of...heavy equipment dealers are tight lipped about everything. LOL I have not had time to look really close at the wiring but it is supposed to rain tonight or tomorrow and maybe I can look at it then. Thanks!
