hello to all. i was just wondering, i have been bobcat shopping for about 2 weeks now and i have looked at a lot of machines. my question is,, is there a blue book for skid steers like there is for automobiles? the machines i have looked at have different prices with various hours, and some in not so good shape for the same prices. i have searched the forums to try and get a base for pricing but have not found one yet. i know a good inspection before buying is important, but how do i know i am getting a good machine, at a good price? i am looking at bobcat 773 or s175, something in that area.
still a great site, thanks to all for the info
Jeff

Not that i'm aware of. It all depends on age, hours and general appearance/wear. The best way is to look in the paper/online and see what other machines go for. Its all i have ever done.

When I talked to my Bobcat Dealer about trading up, he pulled out a book and looked up my machine, asked about condition, hours and options. I don't know the title of the book, but it told him what my machine was worth.
The number he came up with was comparable to what what I have seen similar models selling for locally.
