Greetings folks, I am a first time poster and a bit excited about finding this site. I don't know what year my machine is but it has Sr# 200721. I am rebuilding the VH4D Wisconsin on my 610 as well as trying to adjust the clutches and repair some of the leaks. Can any of you tell me if there are any after market places to obtain the heavy drive belt used on the 610. The part # on the belt is (Melrose) 6515271 , next number is 46-1155. I have never seen good life from these Bobcat belts and now I am told they have reached the $100.00 range. Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to offer. Have fun, Buckshot

I can't remember what these look like, but for that price I'd try getting a match from NAPA. They can get a lot of belts.

That belt is a 6515271 Melroe part number, I sell them for $94.22 and keep them in stock.
I have never seen this part available from NAPA, some are close but not the right one.
Truly its amazing that they can put so much into that belt and sell it for that price, what a deal!

Mark,
Do you have any of these belts in stock still?
I am looking to get a spare. When I got my 610 last year it came
with a new belt that was no installed. I've since had to change the
belt and rather than get caught in the middle of a job with no belt
I try to keep a spare on the shelf.
p/n MELROE 6515271 DF 46-1155 1-0 125
you can email me if you wish.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob - Mark no longer works for Bobcat, you can try your local dealer, if they are not in stock i'm sure they can get one in for you.

He is no longer in the bobcat business, he works with automotive gear now.
You will need to try a dealer near you.
I found this thread while I was helping one of my customer identify and purchase a belt for the Bobcat 610. I have these belts available, 4 brands to choose from! We carry Gates, Goodyear, Bando and Pix belts and would be happy to assist anyone needing these or other belts. I have over 13 years of experience in the power transmission belt industry and have a lot of contacts & resources to help you find the belts you need. Thank you, Gavin Johnson www.kscdirect.com 800-918-8939 X1612

I have received a few calls based on this thread now, the first guy bought a PIX 2926V616 belt that we have crossreferenced on our site-see link below. He never called back, so I assume it worked out for him. http://kscdirect.com/item/PIX%2B2926V616/A%2B%2526%2BI%2BPRODUCTS_VARIABLE%2BSPEED%2BBELT When the 2nd customer called, PIX was on backorder, so I substituted a Bando 2926V616--should be indenticle to industry standard for a 2926V616 belt. However, he said the belt was too thing, measuring 1/2" thick, and snt it back without trying it. I do not know if it would have worked. I did some research and the Gates belt is also 1/2" thick, I was not able to get a thickness spec from PIX. If anyone can provide some information about how thick the belt they are using is, that may be a key to which of these works well or doesn't? I also called Bobcat of the Rockies, a dealer here in Denver, Colorado. He said that part# 6515271 is a current Bobcat part# for the main drive belt on a Bobcat 610. He also said that part# 6515371 is the alternator belt for that model. He advised that they currently had one in stock in their store in Windsor, CO at a price of $112.38 (obviously subject to change and availability may vary). If you want to try an aftermarket belt, my best advice is it should work and I can sell it to you, but I can't guarantee an exact factory fit and performance. If you want that, I would recommend calling an authorized Bobcat dealer. http://bobcat.know-where.com/bobcat/ Best regards, Gavin Johnson Kelly Supply Company www.kscdirect.com
