Yellow wire with black strip with starter wires on 743?

New to Forum and purchased a 743 about 2 weeks ago with some issues. One being the starter was close to being out. When taking the starter off this wire was just hanging there close to the starter. Yellow wire with black strip. Thank you for your help.

The engine wiring diagram says the yellow wire with black stripe goes to the hydrostatic oil temp switch.
