Hello all I have a Daewoo 601 with a yanmar 4TN84E engine.Heres my question- it wont start except if i shoot starter fluid- i pulled the fuel pump line to the water seperator and tryed the starter and no fuel came out so i asssume its a bad pump-but i added a electric pump to just see if i can get it started but it didnt, So i pulled the shutoff solenoid and it does pullin in on ignition on but heres the issue
When i pulled it out and put back in their was no resistence IE the plunger in the injector pump wasnt contacting the solenoid so the in out of it wouldnt turn on fuel - i put my finger in the hole and pushed the plunger and it bairly moved- I assume it should move at least 1/2 inch and spring loaded - is my pump screwed or is their a fix? dirty,clean it etc
