I recently purchased a 2018 Bobcat S595 and have spent the last two days cleaning it and familiarizing myself with its features compared to my old one. On the top window, there's a round, cylinder-shaped puck with wires connected to it. I initially thought it might be an antenna (since there's a radio antenna on the back of the cab) or some type of sensor, but I'm not sure what it's for. I've checked the manuals and parts schematics, but I can't find any information about it.

my S595 of similar vintage does not have this puck or any indication of wires in that area, first thing I think of in both my Toolcat and E32 they have a sensor/transmitter that allow Bobcat to track or locate the machine location if stolen, it also sends machine data in the event there is a issue with the machine, regularly got messages saying low battery voltage.

other than that have no idea what else it can be, my machine has radio and a external antenna on the roof

Lo/Jack?
Or G.P.S.?
Most construction equipment has them installed. Lowers insurance rates too.
Funny, most are Well hidden so bad guy doesnt see it and destroy it.

first one I have seen open in the open, the E32 and Toolcat are hidden under the covers, outside easily cut off to disable it from functioning
