Newly rebuilt starter just bolted it in and connected the wires to the Solenoid. Attempted to connect the battery cable and the bendix started to spin with the switch off. I thought I must have switched the wires on the solenoid lugs/post. So I switched the wires and attempted to reconnect the battery cable. This time the solenoid kicked in and tried to start the loader with the switch off again. Can someone send me a pic of their starter and how it's wired for a late 90's LX865 loader? I appreciate the help!!!

you need to disconnect the small wire on the starter relay ( aka solenoid) , that is what powers the engagement of the starter. then figure out why when the key is off that wire is hot. it could be a bad key switch.
