nh lx665 won't start with service switch in run position. switch to service and machine starts normally and service switch can be placed in run and everything's fine. replaced seat belt, seat sensors, starter interlock, and starter relay. not sure what to try next...maybe eic? ideas anyone?

Could it be as simple as a bad switch?
No error codes i'm suspecting?
It will not start, does it try and crank? or is it as if the machine is locking you out of even attempting to start it?

no error codes...you can hear a noise from the starter relay but motor doesn't crank...also voltage is good on one side of relay but dead on other.

In that case it sounds like a dead relay but you said it starts in service mode.... Unless they run 2 relays but it would be silly if they did.
Charger and Ken know NH machines far better than i do.... I'm sure they will pop their noses in soon.

after browsing thru some of their posts, i thought this might be the best place to find some help. not sure what other relay there is, i had a nh mechanic on it for 3 hrs today and he thought it was the starter interlock.

Great
I can't say I have had that issue, but I will now know what to watch for.
Ken
having no local dealers, i had to resort to phone conversations with different service managers. every one of them said service switches do not fail, they had never seen a problem with them. they all said it was the eic board. we finally pulled the service switch from our 565 and the 665 started normally while the 565 experienced the starting issue.
