I have a 2009 L185 with less than 300 hours on it. The problem I have with is that the boom will not go up until I activate the auxillary hydraulic handle, and as soon as I release the auxilaary hydraulic handle, the boom will come down when I push down on the left foot pedal to raise the boom. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks in advance.

Is the bucket circuit working properly?
Does the engine pull down when you try and raise the boom?
When you raise the boom, will the boom stay up until you move the pedal to raise?
First I would install a pressure gauge into the aux couplers and check that the relief valve is working. If the pressure is ok then I would remove the lines at the control valve for the boom circuit and install plugs. Then activate the boom circuit and see if the engine pulls down and the relief valve squeals. If it does you have a problem in the cylinders, if not you have a control valve problem.
