There are many things that can cause this. You need to get your hands on the repair manual or find a shop that knows them. Have you check for charge pressure? (thats ehat makes your transmission light go out and feeds oil to the hydrostatic transmission) You should plumb a 500 psi guage into the system and see what the pressure does while operating. Not sure where it should be on the 1845 (is it a C or a B model) guessing 150 psi Also does your trans light work? on when you switch the key to run but off right after it starts? It should stay off while the engine is running. Essentually if the chrage pressure run to low or out of pressure anytime during operation then the hydrostat is not being fead oil and can cavitate. I'm no expert on these and I recommend you get a service manual so you can follow their testing procedures Ken
