home made stump grinder

i was thinking of building a stump grinder, single stage just a spinning wheel. the rest of the actions i would use skidsteer for them. i have a 97 763 15 gpm. does anyone have any suggestions on getting a wheel or which hyd motor to use?

Personally I think it is too hard to control the cutting depth of the wheel while moving the loader over a surface that is anything but smooth in most cases. Also 15gpm will be pretty low on hp.
However, they do manufacturer a economy model of stump grinder that the loader does all the movements.
As for a motor you need to know what diameter of wheel you are using first, then match it to your pump flow. You also need a motor with vary HD bearings or to mount the wheel on its own shaft and just have the motor turn it.
