Yea that's a Perkins engine.
It's a well used, well abused, well altered 843!

I have a 743 in my collection and its a little different. I have the Kabota engine.
If you cannot find the serial Number look at the front of the machine on the outside, basically in front of your left foot. the numbers were stamped there as well. I hope this helps.

I've noticed from photos id plates are painted yellow back top left and right corners
