Can anyone help me with a code on my 873 - its a 1999 model - giving me code 02-16 when I hold the light button down. It also gives me 3 beeps after about 20 minutes of running and the hyd bypass light comes on - I've replaced the hyd filter under the cab but still have the problem. I'm new at this forum and just got the machine. Second problem - at low engine speeds - makes a rattle under the seat when moving the levers. Thanks for any help - I have a manual but it has the older system in the manual! Gary

I have no clue on code but sounds like the hystat filter mine is in a splitter block dont know if yours has it or not may be called a charge filter it would be bronze and they say you can clean them only cost about 30 bucks and welcome to the fourm Jeff
reaplced one filter - was a spin on twd the back after you pop the cab - is there a second one? thanks for the help and the welcome - what cover do i pull to get to it? just had a 751 and now this is my second machine. i'll probably call the dealer on the code as its not in my book.

dont know about yours mine is in the splitter block attached to the pump I needed to remove a hose and fitting for access check the book as to a location for yours or perhaps someone else here has the same machine as you and can offer maoe advise Jeff
These filters are such a pain, they are basically hidden. If you don't know to look for one, you would have no idea it was even there. Generally they never get replaced because the owner doesn't know about them, they cause so many problems. If you have a parts manual you can generally find it if you know where to look.
You could call your dealer and ask if there are any suction line or case drain filters on your machine, if there are get them to tell you where they are located, if the spare parts people don't know, talk to the service section, they will be happy to help you out.
talked to the dealer, he said the 02-16 was a sender or a cable fault but also that the filter shuld be replaced. thanks for your help!
more info - after 3 hours of troubleshooting with a wiring diagram from the dealer - here's the result - 02-16 is hydraulic charge pressure filter not connected. wire 3430 goes to the back of the filter block and was disconnected. there are two sensors on the filter block - one for temp and one for filter pressure - it was the pressure one that came off.
