My father and i just bought a Ford CL30. Original ONE Owner.. Sat 4 years but brand new 16.5 tires. two leaky boom cyls. Sons dad bought it new in 1980. Nice shape. First question. It will not Free roll? (so I'm told) how do i go about that to get it off the trailer? with the front floor plate removed can Disenguage to get it to roll ??

Eventually, i want to restore it. I'll be used on my Parent's property & Mine if needed. I am looking for info on what is the common issues they have and their failure points?. I know axle bearings & axle snapping are two of them. It would be nice also to get some Phone numbers for parts. does NAPA Supply anything... What model Erickson's interchange parts? 3058, 4058?

thanks!

I don't know that particular machine, but most of the older models you can push the drive levers in the direction you want to move the machine and this will open the drive valves and allow it to roll slowly.

oh really? that is good to know. i forgot to mention. it is in non running condition currently.

The above mentioned is for a non operational machine. Either have someone in it moving the levers while it is winched or rolled off the trailer or find a way to strap them in the direction it needs to roll.

The only other options are to remove the hoses to the drive motors or remove the drive valves.

You can also soap the trailer deck and winch it off.

Hey there, i was able to get it home and off the trailer, power washed up. Looking into where to get parts now or find a parts machine.
