I need some help figuring this thing out. My needle is pointed to 12 o clock. If I pry on the tensioner bracket, I get some tension. But the needle doesn't move. My tension is based on the bolt on the bracket. If I pry on the belt ( with the bolt tight) I get no movement of the needle At one point I took the tensioner apart, i couldn't decide if the spring was backwards. Anyways when I used the 2 pins to tension it i got the needle to move. But then I couldn't get the thrust washer on :( Can someone help me thru this? It shouldn't be this hard

Google search pointed me to a post on this form. Zip tie trick did it! :)
Glad you worked it out. Some pointers don't move or are broken. I had one like that, all i could do was to give it a good lever with a bar and tighten it up. Never slipped.
