I just bought a 2019 CAT 259D with 1500 hours on it from a CAT dealer. Just found out the booms leaks down enough that when I use the machine to lift itself off the ground to change out tracks, within 5 minutes the boom will drift down enough to the point I can't open the door. Or If I lock the boom out with the cylinder safety lock, it will drift enough that the cylinder lock pretty quickly is supporting the boom weight.

The dealer tested it and said its within spec. The test is performed with no bucket or load though.

Does anyone think I'm unreasonable to demand a repair? Does anyone think that what I described is acceptable on a CAT certified used machine with a full Hydraulics warranty? I dont love working around a machine boom that is being supported by the backup safety mechanism with it 10 minutes of application.

Id really appreciate any feedback. Thank you for your time.
