Hey guys, I picked a Case 1537 Uniloader with Wisconsin Vg4d motor in it. The machine runs drives and moves, but the motor is smoking pretty bad. I checked the compression on the motor and its around 50-60 PSI on all 4 cylinders. Any thoughts why the compression is equally the same on all 4 cylinders? Also would this cause the machine to move and turn slow? I want to insure the machine is worthy before i buy or rebuild the motor. Thanks

Even wear isn't unusual. It just means it has been working and slowly worn.
The smoke is probably the oil rings being worn and burning the engine oil. It could be the reason it is slow. Does the engine bog down when you move? if it really bogs down, it is probably worn giving less power than is needed.
