machine won't lock onto bucket checked all of the grease fittings everything has grease only the one side locks other side skips and won't go down

The pin is likely seized in its bore - not an uncommon occurrence. Penetrating oil, heat, sledge hammer, etc. will break them loose typically. The pin should move very freely, drop under it's own weight.

If the pin moves freely, check the rest of the mechanism. Is the spring in good condition?
