My 853 has a fuel issue, looks like there must be some debris stuck in the bottom of the fuel tank or fuel line that goes to the primer bulb. I replaced the fuel filter, the primer bulb and still no fuel gets to the filter. After disconnecting the hose to the primer bulb I figured gas should be running out of the line but nothing came out. Is it easy to get to the gas tank to replace the hose or should i try sticking a coat hanger up the hose to loosen it up. thanks for any help you can give me. Brian

yes th machine is cold when doing this, what is the pickup tube?
Pickup tube is the suction line for fuel going to the botom of the tank. They are known for the screen in the end becoming blocked and for getting brittle and breaking off and no longer reaching the bottom of the tank.
Fuel won't run out just by removing the line and the tank is below the engine, You should be able to siphon fuel out if you keep the end of the line low enough though.
