Those steering bar bolts you mention will only even out forward and reverse speed and to take the hook out of travel if your machine pulls to one side , -----------It is a hard thing to explain , and the way the dealers doit is really not easy to me , I don't adjust the creep per the manuel , put a block under the back end and lift the machine off the ground with the bucket , then put two jack stands , one under each axle and let the weight down on the stands, raise the boom up and put the safety bar in place , so the machines 4 wheels are off the ground and the boom in the air , start the machine , put seat bar down and hit the operation button , raise the cab with the motor running and on top the pintle cover plate are 4 3/8 bolts , 2 on each side , start with the left lever if you were sitting in the seat , note the way that you have to pull or push the travel lever to make the wheels neutral , barely loose the bolt that holds the sqaure block to the pintle plate on the side ( front or back) that isn't making contact with the cam roller on the pintle lever while you are holding he stick in the neutral postion , take a small hammer and tap the head of the bolt over till the block touches , wiping the top of the plate off and marking it with a marks alot helps to see ow much you move it , then tighten the bolt , when you make a huge move it will affect the other side , go back and forth till you get it right , --------one thing to look for is if the pintle arm is tight on the shaft , they are notorious for coming loose , especially the one on the left
