So I noticed that i am getting hydraulic oil pooling up underneath the main belt at the motor. Looks like it must be coming from the input to the hydrostatic pump and running down toward the motor. Its not a terrible leak, but definitely leaking. From what i have read the motor has to come out to do this repair? Any tricks to getting the pulley off and replacing the seal? Anything else i should do while the engine is out other than cleaning?

motor and pump come out together, when out, i'd check the belt tensioner. I have replaced the bearing in them before, far cheaper than a new tensioner.
Give it a good clean while the pump and motor is out.
