Hello again everyone. I haven't been on here for a while because my 751 C (Peugeot) has been behaving itself until now. When I first crank it up there is a red light that stays on that is located just under the oil pressure light. I don't have an owners manual so I don't know what this light is but it has to be off for anything to work. After it runs for a minute or so and I rev the engine a little the light goes off and machine is now ready to go. Does anyone know where I should be looking for the problem? Other than this my machine is working great. Thanks!!

Likely the light is the low charge pressure/high oil temperature warning. There are two sending units that control the light normally they are on the hydraulic filter block one for charge pressure and one for temperature. If it's cold out sometimes it may take a minute to get the oil flowing enough for the charge pressure to come up. How many hours do you have on it since you changed the hydraulic oil filter? A clogged filter can also cause this.

It can also be the temperature outside. If its cold, the oil may be a little thick. Does it still do it when the machine is warm and you restart it? As OldMachinist said, it could be a plugged filter or bad/sticky sender for the hydraulic charge pressure/temperature.

The filter was changed about 25 hrs back and the temperature here is still in the 50-74 F range. Yes Tazza it does do ok after it is first started and warms up a bit. But it might be a bad sending unit. I will check that after this rain clears. I will probably go ahead and change the filter as that is easy enough to do. Thanks!!!
