I have 313 bobcat, hard to turn, only high gear works. It has electric clutch activated by a switch. Anyone familiar with this machine? Could clutch be tightened to make it turn better? How much new clutch and ease of install?

I was told the low speed electric clutch does not work. Seen electric clutch on ebay $200, but not sure if wright one. Anyone know what clutch 313 uses? I have high speed which is engaged by a switch. Do I need a slow speed, what are advantages?

I'm asuming this is not a hydrostatic drive machine? and it uses clutches? I thought the clutches it used would have been mechanical, and electric clutch would simply be on or off to my understanding, you want to be able to ease it on, not have it fully engaged.
I have never worked on one of these machines, so i'm only guessing here, sorry.

Just took off outside slow speed clutch, looks like magnet. This machine has a high speed that is working, inner electric clutch. Steering not good, reverse works better than forward. Do you think clutch need adjustment or new clutch?

Can you seperate the clutch to see if the material is worn at all?
If it works faster in one direction than the other its possible one side of the clutch plate is worn or out of adjustment? It may not be putting enough force on the clutch to give full movement as it simply slips.

I am going to try to repalce the Clutch plates, do you know where I can find used parts for this machine. Called the dealer for clutch plates. Need slow speed electric Clutch.

I believe the electric clutch on these is used to shift the drive belts from a hi to low ratio. Then the machine has the internal wet disc clutches to apply forward and reverse to the wheels on either side.
Could you post a picture or two of the electric cluch setup?
I'm pretty sure the internal wet disc cluches will be dealer only items. There is one for forward and reverse on each side of the machine.
The electric clutch is basically your shifter from hi to low range.

If the clutch plates are worn, you may even be able to get them re-bonded at a brake/clutch repair shop. There are places that can re-bond new brake material to the discs. As for used, you won't know if they will work better than what yours do now. Its best to get them re-bonded if you can find a place.

I have pictures, just cant figure out how to post, checked everything under profile, just don't see link to upload pictures. I tried to take off the outer electric clutch, looks like its welded to the center shaft, thin metal beed between o ring of clutch and shaft from engine. How can I free it? Really appreciate the feedback, thank you.

l called babcat dealer, new electric clutch $140. Found alto clutch dealer "Spring City Brake" that will order clutch plates that are cheaper that rebonding. Anybody familiar with 313 or 310 bobcat, would like to hear some feedback on this machine.

Will be posting pic soon. Low speed electric clutch works. Now going to replace clutch plates, service manual makes it look simple. Does anyone know how much time this should take. Are the key links for the chane easy to get off, do I need special tool?

Anyone have bobcat 313/310/371, would like to talk to you about it. I just replaced four clutches, like a new machine.

Glad you got it all sorted out
Its a bit of a rare machine it would seem, its always good when you get it all fixed and works great!

I just went through all that. I replaced the blend door it is a huge project you have to remove the dash board. There is a repair kit available either way it is a 8 hr shop time project. Something a do it yourselfer cant do. Before you go that route try replacing your radiator cap. If your lucky chances are the cap is bad and your not getting enough pressure build up in your system. let em know if that does it.
