1990 753 Aux. Hyd.

Hello: I recently purchased a 1990 753 Bobcat. I also purcahsed a Edge backhoe attachment. I'm having a hard time trying to get the Aux. Hyd. to work the bucket. The model I have has two thumb buttons on each stick and one pointer finger button on each stick also. I can't figure how to get the bucket to work. Is there a fuse, sylinoid, <----- excuse the spelling.... that can be checked or changed? Any help in this matter will be helpful. Thank you Slyder

On my 2001 machine, there is an auxillary hydraulics button on the left side of the instrument panel. You must activate this button to enguage the auxiliary hydraulics flow. There is also a button I push when I want to remove the auxiliary hydraulics lines, on my machine it is labled the auxiliary hytraulics release. I have the machine at about 1000-1200 RPMs and press & hold the button until the machine shuts off, about 5 seconds. This will release the pressure on the line making it easier to remove them. It's been about 12 years since I owned a 753, so I don't exactly remember the machine specific instruction, but hope this helps as a guideline.

You should see a thumb trigger on the left joystick. If this is the thumb button you're talking about, it shouldn't have anything to do with the aux flow. (If it's not the button, then you could be on to something.) This trigger is a feathering meter -- you don't need it if you're running a backhoe. On the other hand, the button could be as float button -- which, again, you wouldn't use for a backhoe. Finally, it could be just the button 773 was talking 'bout.

I have had many people give me differant ways to lock the aux. I have a 763 and hit the aux switch on panel 2 time to light both lights then pull RIGHT hand triger switch once to lock then fluid will flow to back hoe. if it does not work........switch quick couplers around to change input /output to back hoe.
