Hello, I'm looking at purchasing a used 1845 and I was originally going to stay away from the C models due to the killer dowel pin issue that the 3.9 Cummins is known to have. My question is, has anyone had to deal with this issue in the 1845c skidloader?

no I have not done a case 1845 but I did do a 96 dodge with the 5.9 and it was a fairly easy repair. I just got a longer bolt and made a tab to go over the dowel pin which was backed out some at 200,000 miles. got lucky!

I know the KDP was an issue with the 5.9L engines, but never heard about it affecting the 3.9L (4b) used in the 1845c.
Even so, it's an easy fix and the 1845c is probably the best skid steer ever made.
I had one for 23 years and shouldn't have sold it.
I wouldn't let that stop you from buying one.
