I would say whatever your budget can afford to set aside,parts can be expensive(especially the motor),if it was me maybe between $3000 to $5000(or more depending who else chimes in). It's good that you are planning on something like this,you never know when something pops up that you have to pay...

This might be a good time for you to invest in buying a Service Manual :) Some of the older models have it on the floor between your legs where you sit,so I'd check there.

Buy one off of ebay....

Look on ebay for your 853 service manual,buying a hard copy outweighs getting a pdf in my book.
