factoring in extra lifting capacity for round bales

I use our 773 for moving bales like you are talking about, and using either a single spike on a frame or lifting them with our muck fork grab, you will never out balance the machine no matter how high or how quick you stop the machine etc. However, when I lift the big square bales of hay which...

Drive belt trying to come off/ shred one

You are correct in thinking it is the main drive belt tensioner pulley causing this. We had one do just the same thing. Replaced tensioner, an the issue went away. I would also get a new fan belt tensioner pulley while you're at it, yours looks like it's seen better days🤗

    S250 collapsed primer bulb

Sodium hypochlorite, approx 15%, that will kill anything like this. Its effectively chlorine like used in swimming pools but used in a much higher concentration. It would obviously need flushing out and drying well, but that will kill anything living in there without damaging the plastic of the...

S185 Starts, runs for 10mins then bogs heavily

Is the primer bulb collapsed when it stops? If so, my money is on a blocked pickup tube in the fuel tank. Lift the cab, and there is a rubber grommet which the fuel pickup tube runs into the tank. Pop the grommet out with the fuel line still in it and have a look at the filter on the end, if it...

    S160 - randomly shuts off after 30/45minutes

Does it start ok when it is cold? I'm coming at the lack of oil pressure angle when the engine gets hot. The machines normally beep with a getting low warning though before they actually shut down. Just a thought.

picked up a 743. have some newbie questions

That cab heater idea is brilliant. Our old JCB has a similar setup as standard. It looks like a little oil cooler with a 12v fan behind it. Then just a tap so that you can control the flow/ heat when it's running. I'm going to look at doing this on my 773 but I will install a diverter valve so I...

Bobcat 773 spool valve seals, Green or Black??

So I've now changed the black spool valve seals for the green ones and everything is now ok. I'll be contacting my local UK bobcat dealing to advise them on my findings and see what they say.

Bobcat 773 spool valve seals, Green or Black??

So, bit of an update since I changed the seals in both the spool valves, black seals. I am now having both of the spools not returning to their neutral position correctly. Before if you let your feet off the pedals they both dropped into neutral no problems, now both of them keep creeping in...

no up boom on my 763 G series

As soon as you press the green button to operate the loader, both solenoids should retract the pins from the tilt and the lift valves. Simply remove the solenoid, plug it back in and see if the pin moves once you press the activate button. You could also swap over the plugs to see if you have a...

Bobcat 773 spool valve seals, Green or Black??

I'm just in the process of changing the 4 spool valve seals (lift and tilt) on my Bobcat 773. It's all gone very well using trip and instructions from both this forum and YouTube. I've found that 2 of the old seals were the black ones, part No. 7931367, and 2 of then are the green ones part No...

    Bobcat 773G seat cushion

So today I rang up my local Bobcat dealership to order a new seat cushion, just the part that you actually sit on, and got a massive shock as to how much it was going to be. £220 + 20% VAT, total £264. I looked online and can't find one any cheaper over here in the UK, but there are loads for...

Bobcat 773 engine oil pressure low

Hi Tazza, I have already changed the sender unit at great cost (£120) as that was my very first thought, and it made no difference. I'll compression check it next, and if that is all OK, then plan to change the shells out. Does anyone know of the compression figures I should be looking for...
