    L555 Accessory Hydraulics

My 89 has the control on right side inside front. A cable runs to right stick to activate it. I had to replace the cable when I got it and clean the valve that was frozen. Works good now.

L455 loss of lift boom power after service

I don't know if it was suddenly but first indicator was lifting loaded bucket and turning at same time. Lift almost stopped and a noise on right side. I could lift and turn but not together. Plugged screen was my thought. I checked that and it was clean. With oil on full it was loss of pressure...

L455 loss of lift boom power after service

Check your bucket cylinder and see if there is a pugged fitting on it. Should be close to bucket. If there is that is where you hook the pressure gage. Look up the pressure (mine was 2050 to 2200) Hook up gage, start the machine let it warm up then curl the bucket to the stop. On mine it was...

L455 Fuel tank connection to filler

Mine is old also. The tanks are pretty strong. I used a 1/2" piece of plywood large enough to cover the bottom of tank and a 2x12 12" long. Use a floor jack to lower it far enough to clamp it. When you raise it back up make sure you don't force it. Should go back up easy. Good luck

    LX665 drive issue

Have you cleaned the screen on the intake side of the gear pump? Should be behind a panel under your right leg. If it is plugged it will cause a loss of fluid into your system. Cheep fix some times.

    N H L555 boom bucket locked

I get most parts from a dealer. I found the seat belt on eBay. I got the under seat switch's from a Grasshopper dealer. You have to shop around. Google can be your friend. I got all my manuals from eBay. The parts manual will give you part numbers and diagrams. Until the belt light goes off the...

    Hydraulic flush

Water is not good for hydraulics. I don't know your setup but I will tell you what I did. My machine set for 6 years. I had water ( milky white ) bad. Got wheels off ground and hooked a hose to the auxiliary hydraulic out line. Started machine up (run at idle and let it get warm) and pumped the...

    NH L455 Creeping

Looking at diagram it looks like the fittings attached to to transmission have orings but the hoses do not. I changed some hoses on mine and they were the same way. Clean and dry the fittings off. Start machine and see if you can tell if leak is from fitting or hose. Or you can take one apart...

    NH L455 Creeping

I can't find a picture of the sending unit. Looks like you could find a universal fit unit. Is yours a 5 or 6 bolt top mount? All you need is one that will fit your tank. Depth and ohms. Most are 6 to 200 ohms and 6 to 16 " depth. Anything that will go in tank and be adjusted for depth would...

    NH L455 Creeping

The fuel sender on my l555 was not working when I got it. Had to drop tank to replace seal between engine and transmission. Found broken wire to sender works good now. Check the ground and the hot wire to make sure they are ok. See if you have power to sender. Can you order from eBay or parts...

    NH L455 Creeping

I did a little checking on the #8 bushing. There is a part# 265618 That fits the old l225, l445 and my l555. You might want to check a dealer to see if this part will fit a l455. NH used a lot of the same parts on different machines. This part is around $22.00 from dealer. Just a thought. I have...

    NH L455 Creeping

Do Google search for NH l455 parts. Go to partspring.com go to page 7 and pick #124 Drive Controls. Item # 7 is the clamp I am talking about. Blow it up and see the bolt hole. This clamp goes on the shaft from the transmission. There should be a keyway in shaft with a 3/16" square key. This...

    NH L455 Creeping

The neutralizers are shocks. Are they dry? There should be a spring in a tube and the nut adjusts the tension. If you have the springs make sure they are not broken. One other thing to check is the clamp that attaches to the transmission shaft. One for each side. Make sure they are tight. I had...

    N H L555 boom bucket locked

When I first got my 555 it done the same thing. It was a go no go thing. I check the seat switches ( I have two) and one wire was broke so I just replaced both. Got them from Grasshopper. Still had the problem. I could wiggle the seat belt and it would work sometimes. My machine set for 6 years...

    NH L455 Creeping

I am sorry you haven't got your answer. First, Ivan is right you need a service Manual. I have a service, parts and owners manual and couldn't live without them. Second, your setup looks like my old L225. If it is there should be adjustments on the attach points front and rear. Check that your...
