Bobcat 642 Needs Cap and Rotor.. Little Help PLZ

Cap color doesn't seem to matter in my case. My spare cap that I used was black (came from Oreilys Auto Parts) but the one it replaced was brown. My bug has a red one now.. Just depends on mfr.

Bobcat 642 Needs Cap and Rotor.. Little Help PLZ

I guess 642 knowledge is fading away... But here is the answer for the other lonely 642 owners. Over the weekend, I decided to have another look at the cap and thought "Damn, that looks just like the one in my Beetle" .. I've got a chop top 1970 VW Bug that I built a few years ago and plenty of...

Bobcat 642 Needs Cap and Rotor.. Little Help PLZ

642 Aux controls and center pedal

When I bought this machine, I assumed the center pedal was for the aux control lines. I just read something that says that the center pedal is a parking brake. If that's the case, it looks like I need to fix the park brake because it doesn't work. If it is actually the brake... what controls the...

    642 Hydraulic Fluid Options

I'm pretty sure that the 642 that I just picked up, has hydro fluid in the tank. I've read that 10w30, 10w40 and 15w40 are what is typically used. I keep AW32, 5w20syn and 15w40 in bulk.. not looking to keep anything else. I'm in Indiana and wondering if the 15w40 would be fine to use? I'll...

Newb with a 642, here for a beating

Picked up a pretty decent 642, last weekend at an auction. Needs a few things but I have a strong mechanical and fabrication background, so I'm not sweating it. I'm not a purist so pretty much nothing will come from dealer. Just need to learn a few things, get some specs and take any beatings...
