    Fuel tank leaking

I have an 'o7 S250 than has an annoying fuel leak. On the bottom rear of the machine there is a plate with 3 bolts, this is where the fuel is coming from so i removed the plate. Under this plate there is a plug going into the fuel tank. I tried to tighten it but it only spins. Any suggestions on...

    rootball removal

I am looking to rent a bobcat mini excavator to remove tree rootballs. They are all standing ash trees. Most are in the 12 to 16 inch range and a couple are about 2 1/2 foot diameter and 20 to 40 feet high. My plan is to dig around the base and cut as many roots as possible and then reach up as...

    S650

The 650 has about 10 less hyd hp. I'm hoping someone has used a 250 and 650 and can tell me if it makes a big difference or not. I spend about 150 hrs a year grinding stumps and im getting a snow blower for the coming winter. Id like to order a 750 but it wont be ready till early January and...

    S650

I am wondering if anyone out there that has a Bobcat s650 and used it on a bobcat stump grinder or snow blower. How do the lower, hi-flow and higher psi hydraulics of the 650 compare to the higher hi-flow and lower psi hydros of the 250 or 300 machines? Do hydraulic attachments perform as well...

    Stump Grinder

You will not be happy with a low flow grinder, its very slow. I've been running a SG-60 on my S-250 Hi-flow for several years. I've tried running the grinder on std flow, its very slow. And, the 250 has higher low flow than the 130. Not saying you cant use a grinder.

    Press to Operate

We came up with a simple solution. There is a switch in the arm bar. We just bought a new switch and mounted it on the cab right where the plug for the switch is located, just under the arm bar hinge. I think I had to drill a hole, im not sure. I ran a 3/8" bolt through the switch and cab...

    S650/S750

Any material I read on the S650 says it has a lower hi-flow capacity than the S250, is this correct? I hear that the soon to be released S750 has the higher hi-flow capacity. Does anybody have any info on that?

    Superfloat Tires

I am wondering if anyone out there with and S-250 or similar width machine has superfloat tires with offset rims on it. Do the offset rims keep the machine at 72" wide or is it wider. Do you need a wider bucket than 74"?

    Stump grinder hydraulics

Yeah, i dont think its a piston problem. Its got to be in the valve body. Like you said the check valves or something. Sounds like a good winter project for the dealer. Ill try limp it along to get me through.

    Stump grinder hydraulics

Yes by cycling the cylinders it does take care of the air until the next time i shut it down. After about a half hour its the same thing. The reason im asking is because is has started to do it while im grinding. I was grinding last week and the wheel caught the stump and basically "walked" over...

    Stump grinder hydraulics

I have an SGX60 stump grinder. I bought it used in november of 09. When i bought it i noticed when i let it sit for awhile all the hydo cylinders (3) developed play. I replaced the seals in two of them but it did not make a difference. I know there should not be play in the cylinder. By play i...

    Stump Grinder

I have a bobcat sgx-60 stump grinder on my s-250 hi-flow. It works great when you have a solid surface to set it on. If they have done any ground work to loosen the soil, the grinder will jump all over the place. Its nice that they mounted the head 90 degrees to your line of sight, makes for...

    secure bobcat

Like i said on the large frame skids like my s-250, they dont have the hook holes on the arms. I was wondering if anybody used the weld on loops. Its a real pain to crawl under the loader with bulky attachments on.

    secure bobcat

on current large frame s-series bobcats on the lower front of the lift arms there is a welded on loop, about 4 inches by 8 inches, one on each side. i think these are designed as hose guides. i am wondering if they could be used to secure the machine to a trailer. this would be a lot more...
