Well right now we own a bobcat 873 C series with 2725 hours on the clock. Recently been breaking down alot. Just had 1600 in matinence and a blow out in the hydralics its seems almost weekly. So now we are looking into maybe getting something newer...maybe change the make. Lots of different options out there. Dont really know a whole lot about each one or get much feedback from many people. So we are looking for something comparable in its lifting capacity and size. Its used mainly for moving dirt, horse crap, :) and lifting hay. Any suggestions? the John deere guy keeps making good offers on trade ins.. which is why im here.. Seems to be the bobcat is worth more. SOrry for such the long post but any feedback would be appreciated. TIA

Go with the S300. I dont think you will be sorry. I only have 100 hours on my machine but so far it has performed very well. I didnt notice much of a huge price difference between the S220, S250, and S300. They are all the same size, so it didnt make sense for us to get anything less than a S300.

John Deere sales reps seem to be a bit on the sleazy side, they have more of a used car saleman attitude, just get it off the lot and move on, ask them why their machines don't have a high resale value like Bobcat and CAT, they can't give you an honest answer. If I had to get myself a bigger skidsteer and a CTL wasn't in the running, I'd be all over the AWS 300.
