Had the privalidge of testing out the 2 new proto types of the T300 , both had the new roller suspension system in them , which the rollers absord the bumps , one had the 92 hp engine which is 11 hp more than the standard T3 , both were joy stick controlled , very nice , fine machine , smooth operation , lots of power , one draw back to me speaking from the mechanical side I don't like the joy stick set up Bobcat uses as I have had to work on them before on older models and the parts are astronomical in price and a lap top is nessecary to do some trouble shooting and repairs , I think dirt , water and computorized electrical parts don't mix well my self , wish Bobcat would do a strip down of the electronics version of the T3 , kinda like they use to do what they called a "base" model , which was gauges instead of LED

When are these expected out or are they now available? Must be a market for bigger, they seem to be going back that way again.
Ditto on the wires and computers, I'll take a std guage package over what they called the "Boss" any day. But once the G series started in 99 the option of the standard machine was gone. They dropped the Boss name and made the shutdown protection system standard equipment.
I hope someday they will lose enough market share over this that they reconsider.
More then one person has enquired on here as how to remove the Boss as the don't want to spend 1 to 2k to repair a option they never needed anyway.
I had a 93 753 with Boss and it needed @ $300.00 worth of senders in the 2000 to 3000 hour range, and a screw come loose inside the Boss circuit board Box that would have cost me another 900.00 because a bad ground was shutting the engine off. Fortunately I drilled out the rivots, opened the box and snugged the screws and the problem vanished.
My 2000 773G now has a intermittant overheat problem, according to the temp guage, that a new sender won't cure and it shuts downs. IR gun says water temp is perfect @ 192 degrees at the thermostat. Dealer says new computer is the fix, somewhere around 1k again.
Think I will move the sender outside the block and put in my own temp guage.
Local Bobcat mechanic here does not recommend hand controls either, one customer pressure washed their loader under the cab, water got into a wire harness connection and the machine had to be sent to the dealer as it would no longer function. Give me a mechaincal linkage any day. it may fail to, but I'll be able to patch it to finish the job and repair it when I get home.
Regards
Ken

We all know electronics and a dusty/dirty environment do not mix. Like 4 wheel drives, back in the day the standard diesel ran for ever. Keep it dry and full of fuel and it will go for ever. These days, the computer gets wet and you are stuffed, not to mention the bill for the new computer.
I say keep it simple, the "old" school way of doing things worked just fine, why not keep it that way?
I know people do enjoy their gadgets but how far do you go.

I don't know when they will be available to the public and I don't know if they even know when , they are not sure what the actual model numbers will be , the factory reps used the terms 320/330 but the machines were camofloged with T 300 decals as I'd guess the decal kits are not even made yet , pretty cool they we sleepers , beefed up T300's wearing stock badges , as far as the big machines go these machines should have been out for the Katrina Hurricane clean up as they would have been perfect for that as they should handle a 96 inch grapple bucket with no problem , the clean up is still going on and probally will be for another couple of years so I'd think that is way them demo'ed them here , I do know they said the suspension system would add another $5,000 to the cost , which is alot for a better ride , but it is a better ride no doubt , would have to think that it will increase the life of the rollers being the bottom rollers flex up and down with ground contact which should releave some stress on them ,increasing the life of the rollers could result in some good savings as they are pretty outragous on the prices of them , the cost of the horse power increase I am not sure how much that is going to be , but it can be felt as it is a beast , ----talking about the electronics in dirt equipment issue it would probally cut off many thousand of dollars to strip out the gizmos and make it simple , but I don't think that will ever happen , as it seems they are heading in the direction of the customer won't be able to do all the work on their machines and will have to take it in for service as software updates and trouble shooting is done with a lap top and software that is not sold to customers , even if it was it's cost would probally not be fesiable to someone with 1 or even 10 machines , and there is more money in the parts than selling the machines , just today I had time driving to call about the rear idler roller of a T-250 which list for $700 , the new one I installed the other day had a Berco number on it , so I called sources all over the country and found out the cost of it is actually $65 , but couldn't buy as it is disignated OEM at this time , doing research to find what other machines may uses this same roller , $635 mark up from manufacturer to end user is crazy

I personally like the idea of joystick controls. I'm unsure of how simple they could make them but the simpler the better. Joy sticks are MUCH less fatiuging on the operator. As far as suspended rollers go, I'm not too sure about those. My T200 rides smooth untill I pick something heavy up and drive around with it. In this situation you feel every link of the track due to most of the machine weight and the weight of whatever it is you pick up being placed on the front idler. Wouldn't using a roller instead of an idler help this problem?

The T320 is on the Bobcat website now.

Hopefully it's a setup like the rollers on the big CAT D-9 through the D-11's, with a bogie system.
I couldn't see in side the frame but the way it is set up is a arched leaf spring with arch facing down which pivots in the middle , with a roler mounted on each end of the leaf , I am wondering how hard they are going to be to change , looks like you might have to drop two at a time while still attached to the leaf to change one , which will probally be rough

suspension? I got a look at a service manual today and there is no mention of any kind of suspension even in the photo's on the web sit you can see bolts going through each roller.so no need to wory how to fix them just yet.

Seems all of them don't have the suspension mod , some only have the larger motor

the 320's arent in new orleans yet. i called duhon the other day inquiring about them and theyre not in yet. there his however a local company who took the liberty of decalling their 300 with T550 badges. pretty neat i think:)
