I am a rookie and have not had my machine that long. I have recent started to leak. There is fluid coming out of my right front wheel. I am feel it is a seal but I am unable to determine what kind of fluid it is. The Hyd. fluid is full. Where is the fluing coming from and how do I properly check fluid. What steps do I need to take to repair this leak. The unit still operates good. I do not whant to destroy it. Thanks in advance

Chain case oil , 15w40 motor oil , axle seal leaking , there is thread on the subject and how to do the repair ------------- have you been having to add hydraulic oil to the tank lately and not seeing any leaks , as it happens sometimes that the travel motor seal blows out and dumps oil into the chain case and overfills it , if a seal of one the axle is bad it will leak there if not it leaks from the vent on the chain case

As Fishfiles said, an over full chain case will start to leak out of the weakest point. Axle seals, breather or access panel. I'm not sure where the point is to check fluid level on your machine is...
If its just the axle seal, its a fairly straight forward job.

On my 853 the is a plug in the frt bottom of the machine, like one you would chk the grease in your truck rear end. Fluid level is just to the bottom of the hole. dennis

And if the oil is milky and over full the problem could be water getting into the case and floating the oil up and out the weakest point as stated , make sure it's on level ground when you check it
