I'm going to put new wheel's & tires on my 853C in the near future. also tracks sometime. Has anyone ever had a set of rims made with reverse dish so the wheels spacers are not needed with the tracks?? I know it vary's frm machine to machine. I'm going to dwn size frm 12X16 tires to 10x16 with tracks. dennis

The rims on my 853c have a large negative offset.. 4" front spacing, 7" back spacing.
The machine is 66" wide with the rims on the with the valve stems out, and this leaves 2" sidewall clearence (too little for tracks, 3" min.)
But by turning the valve stems in the machine becomes 6" wider and have 5" of sidewall clearence. Does this seem the same as yours, I'm curious if they used more then one offset.
I don't know of any reson they can't be run inside out
Also why would you want to go smaller with a 10.00 by 16.5 when running tracks? Is it to try and keep the heel of you bucket flat on the ground?

I was going to get new wheels anyway. My current one's are foam filled. So my thinking was with the work I do going with the 10. x 16 with tracks I would have all the traction I need. Getting new wheels anyway, get a set that requires no spacer's. I'm sure I have the same wheels you have Ken. Thanks for the info. dennis

I doubt you will need to get custom wheels made, if you contact a tire shop they can probably find a offset close to what you need used on another brand of machine.
I just checked a 12.50 by 16.5 rim for a 250 deere and it is 4 3/4 inside and 6" outside spacing.
I'm sure there are others.
If you contact these folks I sure they can help or check your local wheel supplier.
I'm also in the market for some different 10.00 wheels for a 160 new holland or some spacers.

I'll do that Ken, it will be spring before I do anything. I think my next project is to build a landplane. dennis
