older 643 machine , replacing drive motor hoses that come off the left (as sitting in the machine) side of the pump , I also want to replace the o-ring on the hose fitting attached to the pump but cannot break it loose with a standard beaker bar. I don't want to break anything , should I leave it alone or put a helper bar on my breaker bar and go at it? Or should I try some heat, only concern there is starting a fire with all of the oil thats spilled around in there.

Bobcat went through this phase where they put loctite on every dang fitting on the machine. If you got one of those, a LITTLE heat, like with a propane torch, NOT and oxy/acetyline(too hot) might help. Personally, if it's not leaking, I'd leave it alone.
Sometimes, when I HAVE to get one out, and I'm feeling exeptionally brave and stupid, I'll hook up a crowsfoot to an impact wrench and get it to bump loose. Dangerous-if it goes flying it can bust your teeth off at the gumline. I thought I broke my fingers, once when I slipped. I know somebody wants to laugh. I probably shouldn't even tell that kind of stuff.
Good Luck.

Shane - i'd never laugh at that, i know how painful it can be when being struck when something lets loose!!!! Been there done that many times and i'm sure i will continue to do it!
The fittings will be JIC in the older machines, the new ones run ORFS

thanks for the advice , it did seem to be leaking so I will give it one more shot with some heat.
