I was running my brush cutter in the woods the other day clearing some trails and I suddenly lost all hydraulic function and white smoke started billowing out of the back of the machine. I pulled the emergency release and cut the engine immediately. It didn't shutdown on its own or even come up with any codes which I thought was kind of odd considering the loss of hydro pressure. The lift dropped but the cutter was tilted down and I could only open the door about 7-8 inches. I sort of panicked and thought I was going to have to pop the glass but somehow I managed to squirm out the crack in the door ... Opened the engine door and fluid was everywhere. Had to walk a mile to get to my truck and headed to the shop to get my tools.... It just finally decided it had enough . Had to pull the track remove the guard . It was one of the hoses that ran to the left side hydro motor. Got a new one made today for 35 $ ... took about 4 hours to remove track and get it off. It was stuck pretty good.
