I have a 2005 model S220 skidsteer that I bought a few months back and have used it flawlessly for 50 or so hours. Today for the first time I hooked up a log splitter to the aux hydros and I cant get any pressure to the attachment. I lifted the cab and ohmed the solenoids out and they are getting power from the hand control but not activating the spool. I noticed the rear solenoid was very hot to the touch after messing with it for awhile so I switched front to rear and the front one didnt get so hot when I connected it to the rear. Will one bad solenoid make the aux hydros not work correctly or is it further into the spool? I imagine from appearance the front aux hydros have been used little if any in the machines 2080 hours. Should I pull the solenoids back off and clean the plungers real well and oil them good or is it a waste of time? Thanks for the great forum!!!
