I have a John Deere 317g, my employee got it stuck in creek. The motor sucked in to much water and shut the engine off. How can I release the brakes and pull it out
Oh wow, that not a good day. And unfortunately there is no way to release the brake. You will need heavy equipment or a tow truck to recover that one.
As a side note, on track machines with planetary final drives, you can remove the outer cover and remove the pinion gear. However the 317G has a direct drive final so that's not an option.
