Currently, it is on a very short line and it is a real SOB to reach in and try to pump while looking under my armpit to see if the bubbles are still coming out of the vent. My question is: Would it work to put a longer fuel line on it so I can pull the primer pump closer to me so I can squeeze it properly while easily viewing the vent? I could even fashion a way to attach it there so it doesn't wander around the engine compartment. What do you guys think?
Seems like some knowledgeable Bobcat guys on this forum. I am trying to chase down a problem I am having with fuel starvation on my 743. Was runnning great prior to my decision to replace all 4 glowplugs. Of course I had to remove 3 of the fuel injector lines and the intake manifold. Now the bobcat starts but it has no power. I can run it wide open and it revs up to full RPM but it bogs down with much of a load. I think I bled it per the instructions and still having issues. I plan to replace the fuel bulb located in front of the fuel filter. I would like to increase the length of the fuel line from the tank to the bulb and the buld to the filter. When not in use, I could curl it up on itself and set it all back on the shelf that currently holds the primer. I could even fashion a way to attach it there so it doesn't wander around the engine compartment. What do you guys think?
