Case 1816C How to adjust Creep?

My left side drive creeps and if I pull the left side lever back just a bit it stops. Yes, I know you need to make an adjustment, but where? And what? Assuming the linkage under the seat connected to the pump but if someone else has done, please give me a hint or two. Thank You.

new to me 1845 questions. (model, what engine, wiring)

Look on Ebay for a used Owners manual. I got one for $30, helps a lot. I have a 1816C, the C stands for the model change, not for diesel. I wish it was a diesel but someone put an 18 hp Vanguard engine to replace the 16 hp Onan gas one. Not much to the wiring on mine, I did some re-wiring on the...

Case SR 220 Skid steer Wont start

What he said. I ran out of fuel one time, actually had it shut off the clean the filter and forget to turn it on. Got by with just bleeding at the pump. That was my John Deere 650. Never run out of fuel with a diesel. :(

    Adjusting Axle Housing on 1825b?

How are you folks lubing these chains? I put some 30 W oil and solvent in my pressurized parts cleaner tank and sprayed back behind. Hoping the solvent would evaporate and leave the oil behind. Maybe there is a better way??

    Adjusting Axle Housing on 1825b?

On my 1816 the bolts holding the plate were very tight and the plate and bolts rusted. You have loosened the bolts? The plate is slotted and the adjuster can move the plate as needed, if you have the bolts loose. Used a wire brush and lots of penetrating oil (Kroil) first and then a air impact...

Access holes in 1816C for Chains

I got an access hole in today using a 1 1/2" hole saw. Took about 15 minutes and some cutting oil. Hole is large enough to see the chain and if it needs adjustment. Unlike the front chains the rear one on this side was pretty clean and had oil on it. Needed adjustment. Good thing I have a 1/2...

    Battery

You need to get a voltmeter and use insulated jumper wires to connect to ther battery terminals so you can read remotely. Start the engine and watch the voltmeter. It should read higher than battery voltage, 12.6 volts. Normally around 13 - 14 volts if the alternator is working. Not rocket...

Access holes in 1816C for Chains

Well on a Case 1816 its just about impossible to gain access to the rear wheel chains. Sure you could remove the hydraulic pumps and all those hoses but your talking a days work both ways. So how do you clean, oil and adjust without access? I will take another look today. I'd like to be able to...

Access holes in 1816C for Chains

Never owned a skid loader before but now get the fun of learning. BTW someone has replaced the Onan engine on this one with a Vangard 18 Hp. Anyway did some minor repairs and fixes, but now in the process of cleaning the chains, adjusting and oiling. I can see some access back under the seat but...

    Case 1816 Drive Belt replacement

This is way late I know. Just registered to answer this. Yes, you need to loosen the motor enough to angle it a bit to remove belts. Just one of those fun things I have learned since getting my 1816C 3 weeks ago.
