The Bobcat was sitting flat in the driveway. I opened the front plug for the first and put 9 gallons in it until it just started to run out. As I was pouring it in it started leaking out as shown in the pictures. I going to check the level tomorrow and lift the cab to see if there is a leak...
Thanks Tazza, But I'm a little confused. My leak seems to be coming from directly under the chain case and not the outer axle. I'm pretty sure that replacing that outer seal will not stop the leak. I think its leaking where the axle tube goes into the chain case. What am I missing?
I'm sure it's the rear axle seals leaking. I cant seem to find a post that tells me how to replace them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for all the help!!!
It looks like it has stopped leaking for now. I think I lost about a quart or two so far. That tells me that the leak must be up high. It seems to be coming from the top of the rear axle housing. There is way too much crud in there to get a good look. I going to dig it all out and clean it up...
So I got this 743b running almost perfect and all the hydrolic leaks fixed. I checked the chain case oil level and was shocked to find it empty. So I filled it up and now its leaking like crazy. The leak seems to be coming from the left side maybe 6 inches from the center. Just a slow steady...
Yes, the new one is one piece but looks like 2 O-rings molded together, and it's green. All the other rings went on with no problems. Not much too it. I have a picture of it but can't get it in here.
So after replacing a few hoses, I noticed my left tilt cylinder leaking at the piston. I decided to rebuild both of them. I went to Bobcat and got 2 new rebuild kits. On the collar that unscrews from the cylinder housing there is a slot on the outside of it that takes 1 o-ring and a thin gasket...
Thanks for the help. I'm pretty sure that was the problem. The AUX lines on the left arm are in bad shape. Can I remove them and plug them in the engine bay? I don't plan on using them any time soon.
Question, Will the engine not run good if the hydraulic fluid is very low? I have a small leak and heard the pump making noise and at the same time engine started running real bad and stalled. Now it wont start back up. Thanks
