    Thanks Mike! I know this is an old post....but still worthwhile. I'm just a hobby farmer with a JD skidsteer. I work on all my own stuff from MX bikes, cars, trucks, ultralights, lawnmowers, etc. It sure is nice to have a forum where I can get answers from extremely knowledgeable techs like you!

    Found the problem! Was a bad start interlock relay. strange thing is that the relay tested ok on the bench...buthad a bad connecton when engine vibration was involved. Cost me $54 from the dealer, and I'm back in business!
