    642b bobcat 4g32 rebuild kit

I was lucky to find oversized pistons for my 4g32. Spent a lot of time trying to cross reference different 4g32 models, some were close and the pistons I got matched. Search my posts of you want to hear the story with documents and all, might save you some time. The moral of the story, i rebuilt...

    4G32 engine replacements

So... attached is all the info I found regarding the 4g32 pistons... I was never quite sure which ones were the correct ones. You can see in the pictures what they look like and some of the images in the PDF's are similar. Specs according to the 742b shop manual for 4g32 piston OD: 76.86-89...

    4G32 engine replacements

So last year I rebuilt my 4g32 in my 742b. Pistons were the hard part. Most other parts, belts, plugs, alternator, water pump, gasket kit, were easy to find. I reached out to many of those places that advertise rebuilt 4g32 engines and none had pistons so I wonder how they were going to do...

MEL 1179-2 Towing tool for 742

I just rebuilt my 4g32, but I'm not a mechanic. I am happy to share what I did, but I can't help troubleshoot your problem. From my experience you might be able to find a 4g63 easier than a 4g32. I saw adds for a 4g32 rebuilt in Google searches only, reached out to some if those places for...

My experience putting automotive 4G32/G32B engine in 742B.

I have just finished rebuilding my 4G32. Finding parts was difficult. There seem to be a lot of different versions of the 4G32 out there. I was able to piece together parts but did not find a kit that worked (there are some that show available online but I found they were not actually...

Howdy, questions on a Bobcat 742

At least I know why I am so confused! I looked at the serial number plates... The older one is in the realm of 5074234xx the plate says 742 (no b or B) but the trim decals all say 742B The other plate which is in the 509411xx has the same decals but proudly sports a 742B on the serial number...

Howdy, questions on a Bobcat 742

I haven't been able to find the exact vehicle that had that engine... I've got a ton of references but when I check the specs for the pistons for example they don't seem to match up. I managed to find piston and ring set for the g32b engine that had the most probable fit 🤞 Currently I'm trying...

Howdy, questions on a Bobcat 742

Thanks for that clarification! It had been rather confusing gathering info and then making sense of it! I definitely got some of that wrong. Sorry for that. From my shop manual I don't have a 742b even mentioned so I made an incorrect conclusion (not the first time, won't be the last!)...

Howdy, questions on a Bobcat 742

New to the forum here, but I've been working on two 742B's for a bit now. I think it's good to know the 742B could have one of three engines. Duetz, Ford or Mitsubishi. Mine have the Mitsubishi 4G32 and it has been tough to find parts. This engine started off on the late 70's and bobcat no...

Howdy from Santa Cruz, CA Bobcat 742B

Hello all! I recently landed two 742B's. When I removed the spark plug on one, water drained out. Got the other one running but it needs some engine work too. I'll keep you all posted on how they turn out. I'm getting ready to install the redone engine and see if it was worth all the effort
