M-610 tilt cylinder replace or remanufacture?

Thanks again Jerry, i did find new glands for $157 each, i'll check it closely when i get it apart. i think the leak is due to some deep scratches near the end of the rod.. it drips after i shut down, but if i dump the bucket over so the rod is extended 4-5 inches, it doesn't drip as much...

M-610 tilt cylinder replace or remanufacture?

Thanks Jerry, I was just out thinking about it and realized i have to take the piston off anyway to do a rebuild on the head side, i'm thinking with some wood blocks on my press, i can probably get them in better shape with small amounts of 'love' in the right direction.. also thinking about the...

M-610 tilt cylinder replace or remanufacture?

Hey all, my 610 has a small pesky leak in the right tilt cylinder.. I'd be all over pulling it and dropping in a seal kit, but both tilt cylinders have visibly bent rods, and of course some good dings in the shafts.. any decent replacements out there, or should i just reseal the heads and rotate...

melroe bobcat 610 bent drawbar removal

you are a mind reader.. i welded some re-bar, and broke the welds several times. i gave up on trying to remove the pin from the end.. ended up with some 5" schedule 80 pipe, chains, and an 8 ton bottle jack rigged to bend the bar back into shape.. tilting the frame and getting it aligned was a...

    problem with 763

Remember also that there are two places to check that battery voltage/drop.. putting you meter right on the battery post versus putting your leads on the cable connector.. you can have a poor connection of the cable and not really be able to tell if you are metering directly on the battery...

melroe bobcat 610 bent drawbar removal

My drawbar was bent when the previous owner dropped something VERY heavy on it. It was nearly impossible to release the bucket, with lots of beating and swearing required.. I did get it partially straightened by heating it cherry red and prying it back, tho there's no really good way to get...

    m-610 rear scarifier mounting

buckshot - at the top of the page next to 'Forums', there's a 'Media' section. Once there, look through the folders for '610 rear scarifier'.. I just added a few more pictures of the finished mounts. I picked up some 3/4-10 grade 8 bolts and locknuts off ebay and made bushings from some steel...

    M-610 voltage regulator issues

Hello all, I have an issue with old Gertrude not wanting to charge her battery. Before I start to dig into the voltage regulator adjustment process, I wanted to ask if anyone has a part number for something from NAPA that I can just exchange for the original. I'm guessing that maintaining the...

    m-610 rear scarifier mounting

I uploaded some pics to the media area under '610 scarifier'. it's basically a bar with 5 adjustable tines and two stabilizer/drag feet at the extreme ends.. it came with the m-610 and i just got the rear aux tee'd into the system. i'm guessing i will take the feet off the ends for ripping and...
