I am considering buying a 2050 with low hours that has a single pin attachment on the front. All of our implements are the 2-pinset up. Our local dealer no longer works on the Mustang skidsteers. So I don't know who else to ask about a conversion. If anyone can point me in the right direction or...
MY 2076 has developed a problem (after my brother in law used it). It moves forward, left, right, and aft fine. But when I'm in any motion, the bucket and boom control on won't operate until I let the motion stick back in the center position. Is there a dash switch that could be in the wrong...
I just finished my log splitter for my 2076 Mustang. I have less than $700 in it. Man, does it bust big wood! I will see if I can post some pix of it. Mustang Gregg
Thanks, guys! I didn't find it in the manuals. What really seems funny is that the dealer & the service guys didn't think it could be done. Mustang Gregg
I am building a log splitter from my 2008 Mustang 2076. I want to use the front hydraulic lines to run the splitting cylinder with a spool valve (mounted up near the cylinder). How do you turn the hydraulics on, so I don't have to operate the system from the seat? My dealer didn't think it was...
I have traded off my year-old MTL-16 for a new 2076. It is a non-heated unit. I will put Lexan in the cab & add a heater. Anyone got any suggestions which would be best? I want to put it on the "shelf" next to the operator's left foot. BTW: It is a pilot-stick unit. Much obliged, Mustang Gregg
I ain't happened lately, but it got some gremlins a month or so ago. The boom would lift (up only!) no matter which direction I moved the joy stick. The bucket & tracks operated normally. Where do I start looking?? The machine has less than 100 hrs on it. Much obliged, Mustang Gregg
I got one for my Mustang MTL16. I have got to say it is a fine piece of equipment. I have ran it 2 days in solid cedar, locust & hedge (tough stuff). No adjustment needed yet. I really like it. MG
No rear aux hydraulics on the Mustang that I can see. I was pondering a selector valve to move the nozzle direction while still running thehydraulic/PTO pump. But I didn't know if that would work. I may end up taking the cylinder off & putting a lever-bellcrank deal on it to move the nozzle...
Why not looking into buying a torch set up? They pay for themselves in not too much time. If you're building attachments, YOU WILL need one sooner than later. There are lease-to-buy programs too, I'm told.
I want to adapt a tractor tree-point attached mistblower to my Mustang MTL-16. Any ideas on making the mount (easy part)? My biggest concern is how to run the blower aiming (which is a hydraulic cylinder) when I need to use the auxillary hydraulic ports to run the hydraulic motor that runs the...
Got a new MTL-16. It has the flat face hyd connectors. I'm having a heck of a time getting the the residual pressure bled off to attach my tree shear hoses. Any hints?
I just bought a new Mustang MTL-16. It's gonna be a little workhorse around the farm & also get lots of hours cutting hedge & cedar in my pastures with a tree shear. I got to pondering (a dangerous thing to do) about building a log splitter to go on the front end. We heat our house, shop, some...
