    Rusted Bob-Tach Pins?

I have a press with a bed big enough to get the bob-tach itself into.. I just hate to do it. I tried pumping grease into the fitting on the side too. lol, that was a non starter, it's rusted so bad. I wonder if I could get a hose screwed in there? Fill it with light oil or ATF and put 8 or 10...

    NIOSH Skid Loader Accident Reports.

The other night I was searching for tech info on my loader and I stumbled across these reports. It's a REAL eye opener.. Especially with older loaders that aren't as rich in safety features as the newer ones are. (No ROPS, no complex interlock systems, worn linkages and hydraulics, etc.) If...

T650 Tilt Spool Lock To Ground

Hydraulics don't know if they're wet.. But the controls do. Anytime I've had something under a car or truck act up in damp conditions, it was a wiring issue. Soaked connector. Bad insulation.. Chafe.. Etc. Good luck!

    Rusted Bob-Tach Pins?

I honestly don't think the bucket has ever been removed from this thing.. The pins are rusted terribly. I tried heating the buching tops with a torch. I beat on them from underneath.. It just won't move. It's stuck so bad the previous owner broke the release handle, apparently trying to lift...

Just bought an 863. Service Manual? Glow Light?

Thanks for your help Tazza.. I got it worked out. The plugs all resistance checked fine, but no voltage.. It was the glow plug relay. (which I finally located in front of the drivers seat) The connections were dirty.. It works fine now. It also counts down just like it's supposed to now...

    873 Low oil pressure

I'd plug it into the sensor port.. I'm at a big disadvantage here, as I just bought my first loader a couple of weeks ago, and have no experience with them in particular. But the same holds true for all engines.. If you've got psi problems, gauge it first. I've got a light hydraulic set of...

    873 Low oil pressure

The first thing I would do if I thought there was an oil pressure problem is gauge it.. see what you're actually dealing with in terms of pressure. Previous owner changed the oil between the time I bought machine and took delivery. I thought that was odd that he would just up and change the...

Just bought an 863. Service Manual? Glow Light?

Thanks for the reply, Tazza. And no sir, it doesn't change at all. It shows up on the left side, in the hour meter display for just a bout one second when I key it. Then it vanishes and the hours pop up.. and stay up from that point forward. The guy I bought it from said he had bobcat replace...

Just bought an 863. Service Manual? Glow Light?

Hi. I hope you guys are well. I just bought an 863 with the oil cooled Deutz engine. It has about a thousand hours, but hasn't been maintained very well. Aside from that and a little paint damage, it's pretty nice. It has the enclosed cab and steel tracks. Is there someplace to download a...

Hi! I have an insurance dilemma

I was hoping you could provide some advise on. I have a business and have been looking at buying a skid steer. I don't do construction for a living, and, even used, that's a pretty expensive tool to just have sitting and depreciating, requiring maintenance, etc.. I was wondering if it might make...
