Another thing to add is that the reverse is there for a split second and then there is like a pop and there is nothing in reverse. I might get 1/4 to 1/2 a tire rotation before it blows out. If I reduce engine rpms to about half operating speed the reverse works fine like there is so much...
Happy 4th!
I did check the shuttle valve yesterday and it seemed to be working fine with either hot or cold hydraulics. I even swapped out half the old assembly from the allen plug side and same thing with both hot and cold hydraulics.
I do remember thinking when I rebuilt it that the pressure...
I did put a brand new shuttle valve assembly in when I rebuilt the drive motor. I am going to pull that out tomorrow or Friday and see if there is anything in there or a ripped o-ring. I didn't know if maybe the springs inside the motor themselves that hold pressure on the valve plate assembly...
So I have this minor gremlin. After my machine warms all the way up 20 - 30 minutes run time. I randomly lose reverse on one side. It will cut back in and out randomly. It may even spin the wheel full power and speed and then completely lose any power and stop spinning and maybe slap back in...
So here is a new wrinkle. Since about 10 AM yesterday it has been 40 degrees. Had been in single digits or below for previous 2 weeks. Anyways, I went out and fired up the machine and lo and behold no crazy hydraulic noises or anything of that nature. Everything works great in the boom and...
It is a tilt ram cuircut that is screeching, but only in the tilt up position. It is so loud it is rattling the entire circuit and I can not hear the exact source. Also since I have posted it on about 1 out of 25 or so tilt ups it is not as loud.
We did check the ram last time we repacked it...
The plot thickens....
So I put in the brand new relief valve in place of the old relief valve. A very easy task by the way. Took about 45 minutes all tolled up. Fixed screeches on up and down on auxiliary hydraulics, main boom and down of bucket tilt but.........
Screech is now worse on tilt...
Ebay also has a ton of Kubota engines at reasonable prices ranging from 900 bucks to 3000 for something you would want. You may even be able to get away with a D1105. That is what is stuffed into my Bobcats. They came off of Reefer units. Just depends on what the needs of your machine are.
Dropping a 3 cylinder Kubota into it would be a project but definitely worth it if you can find a used one at the right price. Also replacing the the ujoint coupler with a heavy duty rubber equipment coupler at that time can save some space if yours has the ujoint system between the engine and...
If the tilt pedal slowly engages over time on its own I would check into the centering springs on the valve bank and maybe the load check valves if it has those.
