I have a JD 8875 made by new holland and apparently JD didn't change the manuals as time went on and things changed. I have the "correct" set for my machine but it's wrong. My 1998 JD has the combined use oil for the chain case and the gearbox's. Earlier the gearbox's had separate dipsticks and...
Hi! My 8875 has random issues with the bucket tilt. Some times it creeps down quickly while empty. Sometimes it creeps down quickly while full. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all. Any ideas?
My new to me 8875 is very jerky on the left side stick. The machine has only run 100 hrs in the last 4 yrs so I'm wondering if something is stiff from sitting or is there an adjustment I can check. I don't think a chain is skipping but I could be wrong. I can't find a reasonably priced service...
Glow plugs in and she fired up. We must have burned them up when the starter was going bad. I don't really know. Hope she starts and runs fine for a while. Tired of fixing something EVERY SINGLE TIME I need it! The dang thing was fine until I gave it a big service and once over! Thanks guys for...
Yeah, they were the ones that 1st came up with the hotter plugs but wait time was longer and price was the same. I went to every parts store in town hoping to find them sitting on a dusty shelf. No luck and went back to Napa. I think the machine has recently hit the age where parts are not being...
Update. Every single glow plug is dead as a doornail. I would've thought that they would go gradually or one at a time. Went to Napa and they are out of them. Go figure, it's been really cold lately. They offered a hotter glow plug but I'm always nervous to experiment. It does interest me though.
I always thought that it was weird that the manual calls for glow plugs EVERY time the engine is started. My experience has been that glow plugs are for a cold engine. But the manual surprised me.
After moving snow for about an hour it would not restart itself without either. The glow plugs shouldn't be a factor at that point. But I did state that they DO have power. I'm wondering if this is a fuel or compression issue. The dang thing runs like a top once it's running but getting there is...
